I’m not going to speak about Elden Ring in detail this time but
it has truly been one of those time and mind consuming games that are
hard to move on from… I have beaten it 6 times by now and as soon as I
beat it I immediately started on my most ambitious Lego build yet,
taking apart my poor castle town, spending two months of time and
most of this year’s budget. The inspiration was just too strong!
The title might be misleading since this is only inspired by Elden Ring
not a specific location but those who have played will clearly see were
the inspirations come from anyway, haha.
I did most of the building this time but my brother helped a lot too
with both building and mostly making those hard design choices,
there was a lot of prototypes for each section, sometimes 10+
for just a single section making the build-time quite long.
As for piece count, I have no idea but probably 20-25000,
there is a lot of them holding up the construction from the inside
and I had to order thousands of specific parts to make my vision
come true, including 700+ 2×2 round bricks, a vital part of the build!
After building a lot of pretty standard houses and castles we wanted a
challenge with this and we got it… the biggest was getting a completely
symmetrical shape of the tower, finding a way to attach all those round
bricks and making the landscape, something I have never done before
and knew was going to be a pain.
Also, this being a different scale than the usual minifigure scale, see
the church and village in the pictures below as a reference!
I do have a lot of pictures taken during the build that I might post
later if anyone wants a closer look at the process.
Anyway, enjoy the final result, I am very pleased with it:

In total 140cm wide and 128cm high!
Built in 5 major sections: The landscape, the bridge section in water,
mountain+bottom section of tower, middle tower and lastly top tower.
